Handling multiple MIDI devices

    Hi,

    currently this is not possible, SD3 can’t split mapping per device, you would need 2 instances in a host for this.

    I run a TD-20 with midi thru into a TD-3 and then into the computer. I did have to change a number of midi settings on the TD-3 to prevent duplication of midi notes. It’s a bit cumbersome, but you only have to do it once. This way I get a boatload of additional trigger inputs.image_29091.jpg

    I managed to use two devices now with using loopMIDI and MIDI-OX and doing the translation in MIDI-OX. This is a lot of configuration work too, but it can be saved as a preset. This solution is also good in handling different translation presets for tom mappings with 1..3 rack and 1..2 floor toms.
