    That’s totally a bug!

I just looked and saw all of those groove gone. I tried to reinstall to no avail.

Somebody didn’t do any regression testing on this.

    Hi Tobbe,

We have seen multiple other cases where customers have had User MIDI or third party MIDI in their EZDrummer > Midi folder.

Please make sure that when you add User MIDI to Superior Drummer 3, you are adding it to the User MIDI folder or adding it in a Linked Folder to the Grooves browser.

To add a Linked Folder, go into Options > User MIDI and Linked Folders > Add Linked Folder.

    Screenshot-2021-09-17-at-08.52.58

You can also drag your MIDI files to the User MIDI folder in SD3 from your computer and the MIDI will get added.

If you want to add it in Windows Explorer or in Finder, right click the User MIDI folder > Open in Finder/Explorer.

    Screenshot-2021-09-17-at-08.56.10

After adding new files to those folders, you may need to right click the User MIDI folder in SD3 and click Sync File Changes to see the changes in SD3.

My third party MIDI files are placed in multiple folders and subfolders and dragging them to the User MIDI area is not a solution !

The Add Linked Folder place the grooves under my User MIDI !

I rather wait for a fix that make it work like it did prior to 3.2.5 !

    Thank You !

Same issue here. The last update deleted all 3rd party midi files from the grooves tab.

Luckily the grooves were not deleted on our hard drives !

That will be in the next update 😉

Sorry, but that has to be the absolute worst solution to this issue!

If you refer to my screenshot:

    Screen-Shot-2021-09-21-at-9.31.43-PM
You will notice that everything below the blue line (inclusive) was properly installed via an installer. Before the 3.2.5 update these were showing up in the area “Platinum Samples”. Now, the area is empty.

Adding a linked folder just creates a giant jumbled mess!

For someone labeled as “Support & Beta Tester“, you messed up big! This needs to be fixed properly and tested without some silly band-aid solutions that will just look like a giant blob of MIDI spaghetti in the groove browser.

Totally not happy with this type of answer!

Next time, do some proper regression testing before releasing havoc on your users and you wouldn’t have to put up with the backlash in our posts.

    Totally agree !

Or as Buddy Rich said “If you can do it to 100% why not do it”

Sad thing, as well, is that there is no way to go back to 3.2.4 or 3.2.3 unless you saved the last installer.

Where can I find v3.2.4 or 3.2.3 with the Toontrack Product Manager?

Totally agree that this ‘Grooves are gone’ is a big screw up and that the suggested fix is really, really bad. It creates a total mess.

The new Superior 3 update seems to be ignoring the old folder structure that’s been in place since Superior 2 for the 3rd party MIDI.

Please, please, please put it back to how it was before, this will create such a mess having to reorganize and rename the previous stuff that’s being ignored now.

This has been looked into by our development team and a fix will be included in the next Superior Drummer 3 update so that MIDI in the EZdrummer > Midi folder will be handled as it was before in 3.2.4.

Would be great if you could add a “Add ALL to Database” option.
