It seems to be working here. Select a note, select “Copy Timing Settings,” select other notes and select “Paste Timing Settings.” They get the same quantize, swing, randomize and nudge values as the first one.

Your response helped me take the menu description more literally, thank you. Can you confirm. Timing copy/paste only works with the three attributes in the Timing Menu?

I went into this thinking Pro Tools Beat Detective, copying/pasting feels. I think I get it now.

FYI, I am getting Velocities to move around when pasting. Sometimes nothing, sometime something drastic. Maybe that’s not a problem now that I’ll start using this correctly.

It copies the Randomize attribute as well.

Maybe it is Humanize that adjusts the velocities?

    Randomize as well. Thank you!

There’s something up with Velocity that is not consistent. I’m not submitting a complaint or a request to fix. I don’t know how valuable this feature is for me, so it’s not a big deal. Just want you to be aware since you always know the particular issues. I’ve got the Timing Paste command to adjust a single Velocity Note when pasting from Many Notes to Many Notes. I’ve gotten it to paste an entire Midi Velocity Slope. I was making such random moves while testing I cannot recreate it. I had to record for about 4 minutes of random tweaking just to get it to paste this simple velocity move. Just wanted you to see.

Apparently, Paste Timing Settings always turns off Humanize (and resets the Humanize options). I’m not sure but it seems intentional, so that the pasted timing settings are fully obeyed, but as a side-effect it may also change the velocities (to original).

I’ll keep this in mind next time I play with it. Thank you for your time!
