How do I select one or just a few measures to copy and paste?

How do I copy and paste measures?

How do I shorten sections (cut out parts of measures or whole measures) in the MIDI timeline?

How do I slide / move song parts in the MIDI timeline in Song track / MIDI view? Nothing happens when I click a song part and try to drag.

How do I merge two or more adjacent sections in the MIDI timeline?

How do I insert an empty measure between two adjacent measures?

How do I insert a copied measure between two adjacent measures?

How do I select multiple notes in the grid editor? Using the pointer tool, when I try to lasso several, what I get is a new line of notes from the start of my click and drag lasso to the end using whatever drum matches the line I stopped dragging at. This sounds very funny, but it’s not what I wanted.

How do you program a ritardando (gradually slowing tempo) in EZDrummer 3?

As for the Grid editor, using the “1” and”2″ keys on your keyboard will switch your tools. From an Arrow Selecting Tool to a Pen writing Tool. Use them in the right order to get the results you want. You’re simply not on the right tool at the right time. The number key commands will make it a less clumsy process since you have to often switch between them to work quickly.

If you use a DAW, you program your tempo changes in your DAW and EZD3 will sync to your DAWs tempo changes. If you use EZD3 in standalone, you right-click on the Ruler in the Song Track (where the measure numbers are) to access tempo changes.

Still can’t delete a measure and have the downstream notes shift left.

That is, I want to take out a measure completely and shorten the pattern by one measure – the one I remove. I can delete the measure in the MIDI piano roll at the bottom of EZD3, but I’m then left with a gap where I deleted. I want the downstream measures to close this gap and move to the left. I mistakenly programmed an extra measure of 6/8 pattern I don’t want, and I’m trying to get rid of it.

Anybody know how to do this?

EZDrummer doesn’t have what’s called “Shuffle Edit” in Pro Tools or “Ripple Edit” in Studio One.

Delete the desired block, select the block next to the gap and shift/select the last block on the track and slide everything over. That’s about all I can suggest.
