1. Is there a quick way to select the Grid Editor from the main menu? – The only way I can reach it is to go to View/Detach/Grid Editor – there must be an easier way.
2. After ‘detaching’ tabs (View/Detach) is it possible to ALWAYS keep them detached? – At the moment this has to be done every time SD3 is launched.
3. When adding/changing hits in the Grid Editor I select a section from the Song Track by double, double-clicking it and then adjust the Quantize, Swing and Randomize sliders at the top of the window prior to making changes. Unfortunately, these three settings are lost when a different section is selected. Is it possible to make these three settings ‘global’ as it is very frustrating to have to set then again every time a different section of the song is selected. It would also be helpful if these settings could be stored with the preset or DAW project so that they do not have to be reset every time SD3 is opened.

Currently you have to have a block on the song track, and double click it, to enter Grid Editor. If you don’t have any blocks on the track: right click on the track, select “Add Empty MIDI block” and double click it to open Grid Editor.
We might change this for the future, so it’s easier to access without having to have blocks on the track.

Not currently, but I’ll add this as a feature request.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to select some notes, adjust their settings, and then select other notes and apply the same settings for those, then use the Recall from Last Selection button.
If you mean that you want to select notes, change their settings, and the next time you select them, the settings should show the same values as to what they were changed to, it’s something we want to add, but haven’t had the time for it yet…

Thanked by: Asa PalmerPlease add the Grid Editor to the main tabs in SD. And Edit Drums also.
Hi Janderman, you mean like in the EZ line products? That should already be on the wish list requested by users. But what do you mean with ‘And Edit Drums also’? The DRUMS page (Main interface page) is where you edit the Drums.

John

Thanks John, I meant “Edit play style”. And yes, I would love a tab with Grid Editor and one with Edit Play Style. Kind Regards. Janderman
