Since I don’t see a way to search for posts in this forum, I’ll start my own request:
When I make changes to Swing, Velocity, Randomize etc. in the Grid Editor, these settings are not saved. I can’t find a solution to this and wonder if this is a bug or if the interface is just unnecessarily complicated.
Example:
I click on the snare track and change the velocity and dynamics values. Then I click on the kick track and when I click on the snare track again, my settings have disappeared.
Can someone please help me here?
I can’t make that happen. Which expansion or room are you working in and which groove? Does it happen in other rooms?
thanks for the fast reply. No matter which room I use. However, I have just found out that the settings are preserved, but the displayed value always jumps to “0” everywhere. So, the value is reset to 0, but the changes are audible.
That’s how it is. These settings are destructive and not remembered. So whatever recipe you apply, you can hit Undo to revert, or before deselecting your Groove you can use the Grid Editor’s note menu to copy/paste you Timings Settings to another Groove. With this in mind, you have to plan ahead and commit to your decisions.

thanks for the clarification. But this is annoying from a user’s point of view because I can’t see in which part I have made which changes. Planning ahead and committing to decisions is a nice thing, but if I add a new drum part afterwards, I don’t know which adjustments I have to make here to match it to the other parts. Somehow I don’t understand why it has to be like this. But okay, that’s the way it is.
I hear you. I believe it is literally rewriting a midi file on your computer with every Timing move, why it can’t keep track of the history of it is a bummer.
