Does the Grid in Superior Drummer 3 have the option for only a section of the song be in triplets (or any other note type for that matter)? I’m working on a song that is 4/4 straight throughout except for a few sections that switch to triplets, and I’m trying to get the grid to match so that I can keep my note alignment proper for the triplet section.
The grid displays a single resolution. You would have to switch between triplets and your straight 4/4. However, changing the resolution will not directly affect your triplets (or the rest of your groove).

Ok, thanks for confirming. I’ll have to switch back and forth and check the different sections individually then.
I go between various resolutions when I am programming drums in Superior Drummer 3. It becomes second nature after a bit.

I just finished programming a Neil Peart performance in SD3. I had to do some switching back and forth between triplets and straight display in the grid while doing the programming. While it’s not too difficult to switch the grid display back and forth, I do think that it would be a nice new feature of SD3 to be able to define the grid-type for subsections of the song… something similar to how we can change the meter of several measures in a subsection of a song today.
