It doesn’t have that on my browser.

But still I can’t imagine the sale is $100 CAD off the regular price which is the difference from what I paid.

Certainly I’m not the first person in history finding out the webstore is not a good idea for customers.

    Thanks!

The current Toontrack holiday sale price for the EZD2 Bundle you purchased 3 1/2 months ago is $89 US off regular price.

Sorry I see what you’re seeing now.

You have to click off of “box” to see that it’s a sale, very odd it wouldn’t be on both views.

    Sorry about that.

But at any rate I think we can all agree the webstore is still not the best price.

An expansion on your sale price of $53 USD ($69 CAD) is $55 CAD regular at my local music store.

    Thanks again!

Yes correct. It was my point in the first post I made.

    Okay,

But not telling people that on your site is deceptive.

Newbies assume the maker would have the best price.

And uber-newbies like me didn’t even know your software was available elsewhere.

That’s the big take-away from this.

You expect people not to be irked by this?

Well, I’ve done Toontrack forum support for over 13 years and this is the first time someone didn’t except the “we don’t undercut our dealers and shopping around is always the best practice” answer. Not that it has come up that often in the first place.

And as another user in this thread pointed out, selling products for about $10 US more on the company webshop than you can find on an authorized dealer’s webshop is so common in the marketplace it doesn’t raise extensive forum questions.

Of course we have the occasional customer that gets miffed that they purchased a product a few days before it went on sale but they understand that’s the nature of sales.

A banner stating that the webstore will be the highest price anywhere on the planet,
sale or no sale, is what I would do if it were my company.

    Thanks

PS Telling people this pricing info after they’ve bought it is obviously of no use.

Like I said the banner…Everyone wins.

    The dealers are not undercut.

    TT gets their money.

    Customer is happy.

    It’s a great business model.

I charge all my guitar students the same fee.

    Thanks

PPS Does Toontrack do customer surveys after product purchase?

    I just checked this out.

    Toontrack- EZD2 Bundle (EZD2 and 2 EZXs) $199.

    Plugin Fox – EZD2 Plus 1 Free EZX $149.

Plugin Fox is selling the EZD2 Bundles for $199. Exactly the same price as the Toontrack Webshop.

Just want to make sure our users get the truth here.

    PS. Nice edit.

    Sorry about that

Yeah I edited because I had USD and CAD mixed up.

Hard to keep track of that extra 30% we pay on everything!

At any rate Toontrack is still ALWAYS the most $$$.

An expansion RIGHT NOW is $53 USD “on sale” (which is $68 CAD on the credit card) from your webstore.

It is $55 CAD plus 5% sales tax at Canada’s national music store (Long & McQuade)

Check that one if you like!

    Cheers!

    Yes.

You should have edited it because you were misrepresenting the facts by comparing different products though.

The EZD2 Bundle includes 2 EZXs and you were misrepresenting it as being more expensive (on the Toontrack Webshop) as a Plugin Fox that only include 1 EZX.

In fact, both the Toontrack Webshop and Plugin Fox had exactly the same price for the exact same bundle.

And yes, as I pointed out (and confirmed by another customer) a few times already in this thread, since Toontrack contracts with dealers to not undercut them on pricing, OF COURSE you will find products for around $10 US from other Toontrack dealers.

    Hey Scott,

Don’t get me wrong. I love your drums and I have nothing against you.

It has always been in my DNA to be annoyed by companies who overprice on their webstores

    Thomann is obviously monitoring you.

Every product on your 5 day sale this week went on sale to the day at Thomann as well.

So I bought Americana from Thomann’s sale on Monday which was still cheaper than your sale price lol!

But I am learning this all too late because I already bought

everything I wanted (hence my annoyance with the boys upstairs)

Seems to me the boys upstairs could be monitoring Thomann as well with one click. And one more click to price match.

Please notice I said match not undercut

Just a free tip. Hmmm…maybe I should bundle these tips and sell them!

Did you check the L&M fact? Over $10 more at TT.

    Exactly the same expansions

    Thanks
