Giving SD3 a go again, a question about installing everything

Hi,

Since EZD3 has come out, I haven’t touched SD3 because I was feeling a bit of option paralysis. But I really wanted “Fields of Rock” so here we go 🙂

The question is, if that is all I want to use right now, do I need to install any of the soundset/mics/etc for now? It’s 161 GB (oh my!) so I’d guess I don’t, but I want to make sure for now.

If I have got you correct then you can get away with just two. The part 1 basic & part 2 room mics.

these are what I have plus the additional bleed

Thanks. By “additional bleed” you mean in addition? I never installed that when I was using SD3 before, but it makes sense.

LOL, it will be tomorrow before I can get all that DL’ed (luckily it’s LAN, so not as likely to hiccup, I think 😮 )

The Surround, Height and Additional Bleed downloads are not necessary if you have no use for them. If Fields of Rock is going to be your main library, just grab the basics of the Core library and you should be good to go.

Yes it’s one of the 5 downloads of SD3. I have it installed but you can skip it & just go with the core & rooms
