I tried several times to load the Rock/Pop EZX in my drop down menu for SD2,0 and EZ Drummer 2 but all I keep getting is a window that says “ALERT” “You need to set the path to where you installed the sounds before you can use them” Where can I find them? Why would the Pop/Rock EZX be in my drop down menu if I didn’t have them?
Hi,
is this both on your laptop PC and your studio Mac Mini?
You don’t have the Rock/Pop EZX registered to your account and you didn’t upgrade from EZdrummer 1, so I am a bit puzzled…

Yes, it os on both. I purchased EZ Drummer 2 a couple of weeks ago and quickly realized I purchased the wrong program so I had to buy the SD2.0 upgrade. EZ 2 came with a free midi pack and then I also purchased the Made of Metal EZX expansion. When I choose which kit to use in the drop down menu it gives me a choice of N.Y. Avatar, EZ Modern, EZ Vintage, Made of Metal EZX and Pop/Rock EZX. Why would the Pop/Rock EZX be in the menu if I did not have it?
Thanks for your help. I’m attaching a screenshot of what I’m getting in the menu.
Hi,
can you please post a screen shot of your ‘{Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer/’ folder? Preferably showing the contents of the ‘EZX_PopRock’ folder?

OK,
that folder shows that just about every EZX available is installed on your system but you only have EZDrummer 2, Made Of Metal and the Superior 2 crossgrade registered.
Why is this? Did you get some kind of Generic DVD pack with all products available on? Have you simply neglected to register the other products?

I purchased everything from Sweetwater Sound. Followed the instructions for downloading EZD 2 and Made of Metal from Toontracks website and the only DVD set was SD2.0 that was sent from Sweetwater Sound.
OK,
so the DVD set must have had installers for all products, then.
Well, you might as well uninstall all those EZX:s you don’t have serials for. You can’t Authorize them since you can’t register them.
I am still a bit puzzled over that message, though. You should rather be prompted with an Authorization dialog.
What happens if you point to ‘{Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/EZdrummer/’ folder when it pops up?

I’m not sure how to do that since there is nothing in that dialog box to point the path to.
OK,
sorry about the inconvenience. I will investigate this and get back to you as soon as I have any further info.
Thank you for you patience.

Hi,
please close EZdrummer 2 or Superior 2 if they are open.
Download and run the Superior 2.4.3 updater.
In the Finder, please go to the ‘EZX2_PopRock’ folder and delete the ‘Name’ file.
