Hey Kids,
The last time I was on here it was to get EZ Drummer and Sonar on speaking terms. Thanks to the stellar help I received here, it now works wonderfully. Now when I am in Sonar and working on the song with the EZ Drummer drums, EZ Drummer is opened with the launch of the song and when I hit play in Sonar, EZ Drummer plays the song. It’s beautiful and wonderful to see these two working together. Now lets do the same with EZ Bass.
Once I got that working and saw what EZBass could do with my existing EZ Drummer midi, I decided to get EZ Bass. Now I have run into the same issue where I need to get EZ Bass and Sonar on speaking terms.
I couldn’t find the thread with the instructions for EZ Drummer and I tried to remember the best I could to go through the same process but I think I missed a step somewhere. Although I was able to get EZ Bass to show up as a VST1 Synth, when I start Sonar and the song that has the EZ Drummer track in it, Sonar will not launch EZ Bass like it launches EZ Drummer.
Now I do see in the General Settings of EZ Bass that there is a highlighted box above Host Stops and Midi Out that says “Not available in the standalone”…. I don’t know what this means. I bought the full version from Sweetwater. I’m assuming that this is one of the reasons I’m not seeing any activity from EZ Bass when I launch this song in Sonar. But here is what I got…….
EZbass plug-in version 1.0.7 (build 26474) [64-bit VST]
Standalone host version 1.0.7 (build 26474)
SOUND LIBRARIES
EZbass Modern version 1.0.6
EZbass Vintage version 1.0.6
MIDI LIBRARIES
EZbass version 1.0.6
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing your advice.

Sonar is by Cakewalk (who is no longer in business), that was bought by Bandlab.
