Try navigating to the {Mac HD}/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder and delete the ‘Superior Drummer 3.component’, then open the Product Manager and re-download the 3.2.6 update.
When Downloaded, click the small menu right next to the Download button and select ‘Install’.

When finished, start Logic again. If there’s any further problem, please open the Logic Plug-In Manager and select the Superior Drummer 3 plug-in and ‘Reset & Rescan’.

Reaper is saying the plug-in version is 3.2.4 and that the version of SD3 is 3.2.8 and asking me to reinstall.

The standalone works fine. I’ve added the VST Reaper path and I still get the same message/problem.

I’ve gotten this message a few times over the years, and I’m guessing it’s because I have my plugins in weird places, etc. What’s the best way to fix this and stop it from happening again?

    Hi,

if you perform a scan on your system for ‘SuperiorDrummer3.dll’, how many instances show up and where are they located?
You can delete those that show up and run the SD3 3.2.8 updater again, then run the Search again and take note of where it is located. This path is the one that needs to be added in the VST paths in Reaper.
Normally the ‘C:\Program Files\VSTPlugIns\’ path would suffice.

Ok, thanks. Yeah, I had a few SD3 dll files in various locations (one renamed to “superiordrummer.dll” forsome reason and deleted them. The standalone said it goes to a certain spot, so I made a note of that and will check there after any updates. I added that path. The dll file seems to go to the drive that I keep all my libraries on. Everything is working now and I think from here on out I know where any new dll files will go. Thanks again. Do we know when we’ll have full Windows 11 support? I’m waiting to update.
