    Hi,

EZplayer Pro does not emit any sounds by itself; it is sending MIDI through your host to receiving samplers/synths. Manipulated or MIDI map converted but still “only” MIDI.
Please see the http://www.toontrack.com/ezplayer_pro.asp for extended information on what EZplayer Pro can do and what it is.

    Best Regards,
    John

Thanks John. I understand all that.

I can get EZPlayer working fine with ToonTrack solo so I know the MIDI interaction is working fine.

My question is: Does EZPlayer Pro work correctly within GarageBand? I saw the compatibility chart but it wasn’t clear about whether feeding MIDI directly into GB was supported or not?

    Thanks

Anyone else have any experience using EZPlayer Pro with GB4?

I am not getting any sound at all from within GB. If I use Toontrack Solo everything works fine.

    Thanks for any help.

Well I’m having the same problem here… I tried to follow the instructions in the user manual that came with the update… even with two tracks (one for EZplayer, one for Superior 2, and EZplayer set up to use Superior 2 as drum player…) still no sound… I can drag and drop into the superior 2 track, and then it works, but I just can here anything if I’m browsing the grooves in EZ player…

If anybody has an idea… That’ll help both rperrot & me…

well GarageBand is certainly limited in the MIDI routing department but getting EZplayer to drive a single sampler is certainly possible.

I have uploaded a quick walkthrough (no VO sorry!) to http://share.toontrack.com/userfree/EZPLAYER/HostStuff/GarageBand/setup/

It is for GarageBand 5 but the principle applies to GB4. The only difference is how you bring up the user interface for the plugins which is by clicking the small ‘pencil’ icon to the right of the AU Generator field instead of the big icon as per this movie.

Excellent Rogue!!! I completely missed out the part where you have to click the record button… I can finally browse through the grooves in garageband!!! you made my day!!
