FutureHits?

Can someone please answer some questions wrt the Futurehit instruments in SD3?

1. Can you turn them ‘off’ so that they function like a ‘normal’ VSTi/MIDI instrument that I can record into from my drum kit?
2. Can someone explain the -concept-? They sound fine when using the included MIDI files, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to use them outside of that context.

I’m using Cubase 13 and a Roland e-kit if that makes any difference.

Actually for the number 2 issue I’d do the MIDI mapping change from the MIDI in/Edrums page. That way the kit piece will still play at the same note it does in any MIDI pattern in SD3 or one’s daw. An even better way would be to change the mapping in one’s drum module.
