Hi,
I’ve created a song using the Funkmaster Expansion wiht Loops from the Clyde Kit
and the Jabo Kit. The whole song is playded with the Clyde Kit. Now I have the problem,
that at the change from the loops of Clyde to Jabo the loops getting quieter.
I want to make an multiexport in Cubase 5 but so I have these volume problems at the change.
But I don’t want to do it twice for both Kits.
Any ideas?
Regards
Bernd
If you are talking about midi loops ? I’ve dealt with different levels by going into midi editor and adjusting the instrument velocity levels to all be the same in the midi files – i dont know if you’re talking about that tho –
Yeah, I would look at changing the midi velocities, either lowering the louder groove, or bringing up the quieter section.
Yes, midi loops…so that means going into Cubase, Key Editor an then
adjust to same velocity level like in the other loop that is louder.
Good idea, I will try it…but how to adjust? Mark the entire louder loop,
looking on the velocity level than go the qieter one and just overtake it?
Thanks for help…

There is a velocity knob in ezdrummer, ezplayer and S2 which will do exactly what you are asking…..just tweak the velocity before dragging the groove into your host.

Thanks…but I edited the loops and so I have to import
everything again. The problem is, that I don’t know how
I changed the velocity during the import of this two sorts of loops.
I think afterwards there is no way to find out what happened?
So anyway do you think the above described way could solve the
problem too?

If it was me I would just alter the velocities of the midi notes in question.
I don’t have cubase, but in many DAW’s the process is the same. Go into your midi note edit, or event list edit windows, select the group of notes you want to change, either with a shift/click or by highlighting a group with a mouse drag. Find the velocity tool or list of velocity values and drag the mouse down, reducing the velocity values (you can see the numbers go down visually).
To increase the values (get louder) drag upwards, increasing the velocity values.
