First take note exactly where the EZdrummer VST plugin file (ezdrummer.dll) gets installed, the EZ HOME directory is something else; it is where the sounds and MIDI gets installed.
Typically the path is something like C:Program FilesVSTPlugins
Then follow these instructions, illustrated in the attached picture.
1. Go to ‘OPTIONS | File Settings’.
2. Make sure the ‘VST plugins extra search folder’ is pointing to the one where the ‘ezdrummer.dll’ is installed.
3. Go to ‘CHANNELS | Add one > More…’
4. In the plugin enabler window that shows, scroll down to the VST plugins and check ‘ezdrummer’.
5. Now when you go to ‘CHANNELS | Add one >’, you will see EZdrummer in the list, so just pick it.
And now you can download the FL Template found in the http://www.toontrack.com/free_downloads.asp.
Browse to EZDRUMMER > Host Stuff > FruityLoops > MultiOut and download the Template.

I loaded the template into fruity loops 5 and I keep getting a “cannot open flp file, file may be corrupted, etc…” Any suggestions?
Hi,
I think I made the Template with FL Studio 6, that could be an explanation.
May I ask; since you get FL Studio updates for free, why are you still on version 5?
Best Regards,
John
