ORIGINAL POSTING
Allright I have exhausted all my searching & problem solving patience, in over a year i have only been on here to post once or twice
as usually with a lil research i am able to figure out any problems, but this one i cannot figure out, hopefully someone can either
enlighten me as this issue has to have been run into before, Thanks in advance.
For sake of saving some time the only specs i feel are relevant at this moment i can think of are:
1: Running Windows 7 – 64 bit OS – 12 gig ram –
2: Before this, all has worked fine
Ok, on to the problem & the symptoms
3: I WAS running Studio One Artist until i recently Upgaded to Studio One 2 Professional.
4: I WAS using the included EZ Drummer Lite until i recently Upgraded to FULL EZ DRUMMER.
Sorry if i omitted any relevant info that might be necessary to help me, but ask and i can prob give any that might be needed as
I’m not sure what would be needed to know to solve my Issue.
ISSUE:
After installing he upgrades mentioned above, I cannot see EZ DRUMMER in S1-2 Professional in the Instruments Tab and i cannot figure out why, Surely many many people have ran into this same problem.
From what I have deduced, EZ Drummer will run in both 32 bit and 64 bit
5: Ok, since S1 Artist & S1-2 Professional are completely separate programs YES, they are both installed on same PC.
BUT I can only get Ez Drummer to show up in S1-Artist. I figured I could just point my (S1-2 Proff) VST Plug-ins Path
Location to the same folder as I use in S1-Artist (which is in a “Program Files/(x86)” folder which I am assuming is just 32 bit )
and it EZ Drummer might show up in S1-2 Proff. but Nope, it won’t.
6: Now, the Toontrack folder is also in a “Program Files/x86” folder which I am assuming is just 32 bit and there is no Toontrack
folder in “Program Files” folder which i assume is the 64 bit Program Files folder
7: I Don’t remember it ever letting me have the option to choose to Install EZ Drummer as a 32 bit OR a 64 bit plugin.
8: I was thinking since i can have both S1- Artist AND S1-2 Proffes on the same machine at same time, only opening the one i want
for that particular moment, that i would be able to USE and See EZ Drummer in EITHER Version, but I can only see it as
an instrument in S1-Artist.
9: Surely Many Many other people have ran into this same issue and somene can post as to what i need to do to be able to see
and use Ez Drummer in S1-2 Proffess too? OR what i need to do to be able to use it in JUST S1-2 Proffess?
10: ALSO, i did upgrade Ez Drummer BEFORE I upgraded S1-Artist, so is this somehow the problem and if so, how would i go about
fixing it, All of my other plugins so far seem to open and work fine in S1-2 Proffess, JUST this EZ Drummer will not show up in
the “Instruments” Pane Tab
11: This Surely is an easy fix that I am just too newbish still to fix on my own, or there is a reason that it will not show up due to
confilcts that i am unaware of.
12: hopefully this will be enough info for someone who has seen or heard or ran into this issue to either help me or point me in the
direction to fix this, Thanks in Advance!
13: ALSO I JUST READ IN FORUMS SOMEWHERE WHERE SOMEONE SAID THEY “PATCHED” OR DOWNLOADED TO
THE 64 BIT VERSION PLUGIN OF EZ DRUMMER FULL VERSION – PLEASE – EXPLAIN AS HWO THEY DID THIS
AS I CANNOT FIND OUT HOW TO DO THIS – CANT EVEN FIND THAT OPTION ON THE TOONTRACK WEBSITE.
Hi,
if you download the latest EZdrummer update, there will be both a 32-bit updater and a 64-bit updater. The 64-bit updater will Default install the 64-bit VST .dll in the ‘C:Program FilesVSTPlugins’ path.
But I take it from your other post that you are up and running now?
BR,
John
