I just purchased EZBass and Fretless EBX on Mac and am using a Jamstik Studio MIDI guitar with MPE capabilities as a controller. When I run my mouse over the fretboard of the Fretless EBX in the GUI the fretless bass sounds great and has all the characteristics of a fretless bass but when I use my Jamstik Studio MIDI guitar as a controller there are no fretless characteristics and the bass sounds like a fretted bass. I actually hear the frets triggering slightly as I slide from note to note, not the smooth transition you get on a fretless or when using my mouse. This happens whether I have the MIDI guitar set to MPE mode or if I have it off.
Can anyone advise as to how I might be able to use or setup my MIDI guitar and EZBass so that I can produce the full expression of the Fretless EBX? Is there a section in the manual that can help me set EZBass up so that it responds to the Studio MIDI Guitar’s MPE mode?
Thanks, JoeM
Updating on my own question: So it looks like the Transform Velocity setting in Settings/MIDI Input will allow trigger response adjustment with my MIDI Guitar controller and allow me to fine tune attack and glissando response when sliding on the guitar neck. I’ll need to read up and experiment with those in and out settings. Any other advise greatly appreciated.
JoeM
