This happens if you installed into a download (which is a folder in the case of SD libraries). Keep the download and install locations separate.

Thanked by: UnclebassOh man. I just deleted a 40 hour download ?
Oh well. Start again.
I was thinking it would be nice if it did a normal delete so at least it could be restored but I guess that wouldn’t free up space until you empty the recycle bin.
An ” Are You Sure ” warning might be good. Or maybe, ” You are about to delete your entire sound library ”
Not sure why anyone would want delete all their sounds to free up space. You can also free up space by formatting your C drive. Haha.
It’s the first time Ive seen someone install the sounds in the same download folder so probably very rare this would happen. Most people have the samples on a separate drive or partition.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
The library installer nowadays tries to detect and prevent installation into a download. I would be interested to know how exactly it happened now (where you installed), Adam.
Assuming you are on Windows, this Command Prompt command should show where the core library was last installed:
reg query HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Toontrack\Superior3 /v SL_Path_SL-SUPERIOR_DRUMMER_3
