    The notion of “tuning” in EZbass is not the same as for a regular bass guitar. You cannot, for example, tune the E-string down while having the rest of the strings in standard tuning. The idea is that you can access all notes available on the bass by playing them on a keyboard or in the grid editor. If you want to use EZbass together with a guitar tuned to Drop-D, you just alter the MIDI to match the song.

    The semitone control can be used to quickly get a grip of what the song would sound like in another key, without having to change all the notes in your MIDI.

    The graphical representation of the notes on the fretboard is the same as the incoming MIDI and will not change with the tuning (with the analogy that even if you tune a real bass guitar down, you still play on the same frets on the fretboard).

    The three additional options in the tuning box (Perfect, Bass, Piano) just alters the pitch of the notes slightly, such as true-temperament fretboards do.

    Have i misunderstood your question? If so, please describe in a bit more detail what kind of behaviour you’re missing.

    @pat,

    Pat, Rather than an all out assassination how about giving some constructive feedback or putting in a feature request.   That’s the most rude post I’ve seen.

    @LDG

    I’ve asked this question 3 times in 3 months.

    I wasted money on this product because i cant figure out how to work the tunings.

    I get half way there and something screws up!

    @mattiaseks

    I appreciate you breaking off some knowledge, it just doesn’t sound like a system that should be wrapped into a nice package called “Ez Bass”

    There is no way to add a set of 10 tunings so people can just choose and go about their day/recording?

    Thanks!

    It wouldn’t make much sense to do so, since EZbass doesn’t work with strings in the traditional meaning. My guess is that you are trying to use the tuning box for something that it is not meant to be used for. I would also fail trying to match the tuning of EZbass to a 7 string guitar tuned to whatever non-standard tuning, because it’s simply not supposed to work that way. Regardsless of the which tuning is used –  If you need to play a D, play a D. If you need to play an Eb, play an Eb.

    If you have a specific scenario where you are trying to use the tuning box but fail, please describe it and i’ll try to guide you through the intended workflow.

    I’d file this in the same bucket as all the guys asking to be able to pick which virtual string their EZBass plays…

    Patisajiw – why do you need your virtual guitar to be tuned down half a step when you don’t actually put it on your lap and play it with fingers / picks? As Mattias says above: You tell the software which notes to play and it plays them.

    Hello.

    I can not export the file in EZBass.

    I Make , Track, Export Song as Audio File,  Export Song as Audio File, choice Single Stereo or separate Audio  File,  export, choice folder or make a new folder, after this the window for export show the turn driving element, no export.

    What is this for a problem ?

    Many thanks.
