    Hi,

I’m certain that’s the way it is working. If you follow the host position EZplayer Pro can ‘Play all’ Layers, simultaneously right? Setting the Layer handling to step through or randomise the layers would not work, since those modes need to have a loop on the track for EZplayer Pro to know when to go to another layer, which doesn’t have anything to do with the host’s timeline position.

Follow host play/stop and randomise layers vs Follow host position and Play All makes sense then, or?

    BR,

Thanks for the response, John.  Your logic makes sense and I assumed it probably was as you described.  In my case, I was woking on a piece where I was looping the DAW timeline as I built up other parts, so some randomization in the drums helps creatively.  I can still use random layers if Host Position is off… it just means starting playback from a specific spot in the timeline each time.  No big deal.

Very useful plugin.  Wish I had discovered it years ago.

Hi, new to EZplayer pro as well. I got it set up but I can’t figure out how to make it play along with the song (playback, time map, bar 1,2,3,etc) in pro tools 9.0. The tempo sync works and I can drag/drop/audition the grooves but it won’t follow the pro tools conductor, Like in EZdrummers song creator. Am I missing a basic button or function?
