Would be a great feature. The stock (Overloud) plugins do not do the excellent samples justice, especially in regards to compression.
If you add that then you also add latency. I can use plugins within my DAW if needed. It’s not something I would want toontrack to spend time implementing.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
As you probably already know,
this is where & why many users will go with a multichannel output routing from SD3 into the DAW
discussed (albeit briefly) in the SD3 user manual, Section 5.1 “The Mixer Tab”
specifically Section 5.1.1 “The Mixer Manu”
and apply HOST 3rd-party VST plugins there.

choose “Apply Multichannel Outputs“

Thanked by: Bear-Faced Cow, Korken and drumjack52Yes, re-route separate SD3 “microphone” channels to DAW and mix it inside DAW. Easy workaround.
And in regards to:
The stock (Overloud) plugins do not do the excellent samples justice, especially in regards to compression.
There is nothing wrong with the stock effects, including the compressor. I’ve done numerous drum mixes with just the stock effects.
