Within the song track editor, we can create/edit our own chord sequence (C, E, G, etc).
I am so happy I can choose a Midi groove from the Midi-Library and apply it on my own track while keeping my own chord sequence by de-selecting the function “Auto-Adjust Chord Transitions”.
However, there are situations when I have my own bassline almost completed, but as a last step want to apply a given Midi Groove without having my own notes automatically been replaced by the ones of the Midi Groove.
I wish there was a function like “Apply Groove”, so it would transfer Midi information on matching notes (e.g. note start, note end, velocity).
(I am talking about some kind of quantization).
Many Thanks in advance for your interest…
Having “Auto-Adjust Chord Transitions” enabled means that EZbass will adjust the chord transitions (the MIDI notes just before new chords) to match the chords you are using.

Can you further explain this? Do you want to combine your MIDI with the Toontrack Grooves in some way?

Let me explain,
Yes, I want to combine my MIDI with the Toontrack Grooves.
The grooves of the Toontrack Midi library has been played by a real bass player, so the timing and feel is quite natural.
During my work with the Grid Editor, I am using the Snap-to-Grid function that results in 100% perfect note positions.
Furthermore, I am choosing the Note-length function, which also is generating 100% perfect note lengths.
So my own MIDI bass line sounds a little bit too digital and I need to invest a lot of effort for humanization.
Although there are humanization features available like Randomize, Dynamics, etc., I would prefer to transfer the information of a cool Midi groove of the Toontrack library.
Example from my own composition before: “C” at 1.2.0, “D” at 1.3.0 and “E” at 1.4.0.
Example from the Toontrack Midi: “C” at 1.2.01 and “G” at 1.3.04.
My desired result: “C” at 1.2.01, “D” at 1.3.04 and “E” at 1.4.0.
As you can see:

As you can see:
- Differences in pitch should be ignored
- No notes will be added or deleted
- Only matching notes will be applied concerning note positions (optionally same to note length and velocity)
EZbass version: 1.0.3

Ah, thanks for the explanation.
This is actually something we have implemented, but currently only when converting MIDI drums to bass MIDI.
In the Drums & Keys tab, you can use the Replace MIDI function, and it can blend the MIDI created in the Drums & Keys tab with the MIDI you have on the Song Track.
I think you asking for a similar solution, but for all grooves – not just in Drums & Keys. I’ll add this as a feature request!
