Hi,
I have a PC with Win 10 64-bits and I use the EZDrummer plugin (2.2.1) inside Cubase LE11.
I bought the original program to work with Cubase, and everything worked fine. However at one point he pointed out that the engine was inactive. I saw that it asked for an update. However Produc Manager does not update plugin inside Cubase LE11.
I await reply and thank you very much.
Mr. Baratti
Was the ezdrummer.dll moved since it was installed? Are there more then one ezdrummer.dll installed on the computer?

Yes. There was a single .dll and it repeated in 3 different places. But the product manager removed the .dll inthe plugin folder and didn’t put the new version. Maybe if they sent the .dll version 2.2.3 it would solve my problem. It would be possible?
Thanks
Please manually delete all .dlls and then run the latest update from the Toontrack Product Manager. Make note of the install location or, once installed, launch the EZD2 Standalone and check the exact install path from the Help menu. Set that path in your host.

Unfortunately it didn’t work.
I uninstalled all previous versions of the EZDrummer dlls and application, and later installed everything again.
I know it used to work and after it asked for an update it prevented me from using the version I was using. Which by the way worked very well.
The funny thing is that I pad for this app. NO FAKE.
Thanks
I see that you’ve used the website download. Could you please use the Toontrack Product Manager application to install the updates? The Product Manager helps with most install issues.

Goodnight, dear Mr. Scott Sibley!
Thank you very much for following me. I managed to install the EZDrummer plugin update and now I just need to active it, this is my biggest difficulty.
Thanks
Hi Silvio,
when you write that you need to activate it, do you mean that it isn’t Authorised?
If so, this is done within the Toontrack Product Manager application.
If not, do you mean that it isn’t picked up by Cubase? If so, perhaps this video I found on YouTube helps:
If neither is what you mean, please elaborate.
BR,
John

Dear John Rammelt – Toontrack
When mean that i need to activate it, do i mean that need to activate it!
If you look at the first message you’ll see that I sent photos… You can see that the plugin keeps opening, however it is not being activated. And before it was working perfectly fine.
The EZDrummer plugin images were run inside CUBASE LE11. So… they’re showing up. The problem is about activation.
Maybe the solution would be to send me a new activation, that is, serial number
Thanks Sílvio
That message doesn’t indicate that the plugin isn’t “activated”. Its showing that the audio device isn’t active. Perhaps there is a setting in your DAW to release audio driver in the background or similar.
Look at the thread for other tips:
Also, what audio interface are you using? Are you using ASIO drivers?

Hello everyone…
I found the problem, but not the solution.
When I turn off my external audio card => AudioBox 44VSL, the EZDrummer plugin works normally inside Cubase LE11. But when I turn on the card it stops working and it issues that Audio Engine Inactive message.
There may be a conflict of usb ports.
I use Prelude MIDI board to connect electronic drums with PC.
That way I wouldn’t be able to record guitar and drums simultaneously.
If you have any tips…
Thank you very much

Hello everybody,
I’m giving feedback regarding the solution of the mentioned problem. The EZDrummer plugin never had a problem. What happened was in relation to the drive used in Cubase LE11. I studied the matter further and found that it was a basic drive error.
Conclusion: When the message “Audio engine inactive. Check your audio device.” in the EZDrummer plugin running from within Cubase LE11, pay attention to changing the appropriate driver and also activating the respective audio.
I made a basic rookie mistake.
Grateful
