Currently experiencing a problem with ezdrummer 2 in reaper.
In addition to ezdrummer 2 I am also using the metal! and Metal Machine expansion packs.
I do the following steps…
- Launch reaper.
- Right click and select “Insert virtual instrument on new track”
- Within the resulting “Insert Virtual Instrument on New Track” window select “VSTi: EZdrummer (toontrack) (32out)” then “OK”
- Select “Yes” for the “Build Routing Confirmation”
- EzDrummer 2 appears. Select “Metal Machine -> Distorted” from the menu.
- Select the “Mixer” tab then click on the drop down above “Kicks” and select “Multichannel”
- Close the window to hide EZdrummer 2
- Locate a MIDI file and paste onto a track, then “OK” to import
- Select the play button to play back. Not sounding as expected.
- Open EZdrummer from within reaper and notice that basic kits is selected – not Distorted.
How to stop ezdrummer reverting to basic?
