EZX vs MIDI – AGAIN!

Sorry to create another thread on this, but I’ve read the others, and I STILL don’t get it.

I read that the EZXs are drum kit sounds (plus grooves) and the MIDI packs are ‘just grooves’.

So does this mean that the MIDI packs are in themselves no use without the corresponding EZX?

e.g. If I buy the EZX Blues pack, I can augment it with the Blues MIDI pack, but just the Blues MIDI without the Blues EZX will not do anything on its own?

Any EZX can play any groove from any midi pack.

To confirm. You can use any midi file from anywhere, with whatever EZX you want.

More to the point, you do not have to purchase any EZX to play any of the available groove packs. If you want additional ready mixed kits by well-known producers, that’s where you would want more EZXs.
