Something does indeed seem fishy. The default Rock! EZX kit comes in around 305MB. What version of the EZX is displayed from the ‘?’ menu? Are you using S2 or EZD and what version? Have you tried downloading the full product again from your Toontrack account and re-installing?

I cant uninstall! When I try to install over it, there is an error. Something about “midi x03 library” or something to that effect. I should be up to date with all the latest versions. I am using EZD. All my other expansions (DFH, Latin, Pop) work fine.

When you say you can’t uninstall, do you mean that you ran the uninstaller included in the full product installer or that you just tried to install over your initial install? What is the exact error message? You can check whether you are running the latest update from the ‘?’ menu in EZD.

It is version 1.14 apparently? I’ve downloaded the 1.33 update, installed it, it says “successful” but it doesn’t appear to be. Very weird. I uninstalled ezx Rock, it re-installed successfully (without error message), but I’m still having the same problem: it will only load 81 mb. It’s not just the snare, the kick seems like it’s missing velocities too, I’m sure a lot is missing if it’s only loading 81 mb.

I’m at a loss here. The installer for ezdrummer says I have the latest version. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled ezdrummer and ezx Rock, I’ve made sure both are updated, nothing. It will only load 81 megs of EZX Rock. My DAW is up to date. Windows 7-up to date. I have lots of vsts, everything has always worked flawlessly. This is the first software I’ve had trouble with ever. I purchased EZX ROck in February, didn’t work from the get-go and I didn’t have time to deal with it until now.

Has the ezdrummer.dll been moved from its original install location? You are saying the EZD interface doesn’t read 1.3.3 after you run the installer?

Now it’s even worse! I ininstalled EZDrummer from the control/remove programs menu, downloaded EZDrummer, and I cant get it to install. Here is the error message, attached.

Error 1309 means your trying to run the installer without first extracting it from the zip file. Unzip the install folder and the run the installer.

Thanks. Now i have EZDrummer back, but same issues. I attached another screen shot, you’ll see that it is version 1.14 even though I installed it from a new download. Also see the 81mb that Rock has loaded.

Here’s another “clue” hopefully. The read only button is checked, does that need to be unchecked?

Problem solved, thank you for the help. Some .dll problems, now resolved.
