Hi!
I recently bought ‘EZX Progressive’ expansion for EZDrummer and i have a problem with most of the fills on the midi songs included in this expansion.
I’ve been trying to use fantastic “Pushy” and “Nomad” grooves but unfortunately it’s just extremely hard to find any fill in this library that really work with the rest of the songs.
Both of the songs come with around 20-30 fills (and that’s a lot!) but 99% of them are unusable and they dont fit the songs at all!
Similar problem with the ‘Camo’, but on this song most of the fills don’t even have the same tempo as the song grooves (feels like twice the original tempo!).
Is it possible that somehow there is an error in the library and these are not the right fills?
I just can’t believe that this is the final product…
(ps. sorry for me poor english, not a native speaker)
Keeping in mind that I’m not sure exactly what you’re hearing on your end…
When suspecting midi files are being heard twice as fast (or slow), you can check to see if the Tempo Drop-down menu has anything selected besides “x1 Default Tempo”. If that’s not the case, you could also use this same drop-down menu to manipulate the fills you’re previewing and make them twice as slow (since you’re saying they sound twice as fast).
You could adjust these fills in the Edit Play Style panel and quickly manipulate them to be more/less busy.
You could use the song creator with you EZX and see what results come up in the Fills Column to see it’s recommendations for Fills on the groove you’re working on.
I think it would be difficult for anyone to be able to tell if what you’re hearing is correct or not, without them hearing or at least seeing as well.
If you are new to EZD2 and not sure how to use the features I’ve mentioned, you can check my signature below for a link, or take a look at some of the more introductory Toontrack videos.
I hope that helps. I am curious about your issue, but do not own that specific EXZ. I’ve never heard of anyone getting the wrong midi files from a purchase before, though. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been using EZDrummer in my home ‘studio’ for over a year now and I have 10+ midi packs installed and this is the first time this happened to me. I think this is an incredibly useful piece of software and I’m happy with the rest of the midi packs I already purchased.
I know that I can use native EZD2 features like ‘tap2find’ (and that’s what i’ve been doing) but that’s more like a workaround for the problem. I tried everything you mentioned – increasing and decreasing the tempo, combining every groove with every fill, editing fills with ‘Edit Play Style’ but that does not help – these fills just don’t fit the songs at all (different style, like a completely different midi pack) – and thats the problem. I feel like I paid for a faulty product and i’m not happy with this purchase :/
That’s unfortunate. You may already know, for future purchases, that in the Search Tab there is a Show Webshop Midi button that can be engaged. You can’t work with these new files, but can preview every single midi file from any EZX/Midi Pack before purchasing.
