I just bought EZDrummer and the classic EZX. Everything went smoothly until I got the the EZX install. I installed EZDrummer, the EZDrummer update, and the cocktail update. All ran fairly quickly, maybe 20-25 minutes for the full EZdrummer install – it was pretty quick so I didn’t really take not of the time it took.
Now however, I am trying to install the classic EZX and after an initial time estimate of around 58 minutes the install, which has been running for well over an hour, still says 3 1/2 hrs remaining. This doesn’t seem right or normal but given the ease and relative speed of the other installs I am not sure what iuf anything I can do or what I could look at as a possible casuse for the slow EZX install. Any ideas?
Hi,
could you please provide your system specifications in your profile and/or signature?

Added the info – it’s a Sony Vaio laptop running an Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz and 4GB RAM. Install completed successfully as far as I can tell thus far but took over 6 hours. Everything else installed in a matter of minutes and I’ve never run into any issues like this on this machine so found it odd that the EZX install would take so long.
I also installed the 1.31 update including the 64bit install but it seems like I’m still only running 32 bit. How can I tell if it’s running in 64bit? This is all pretty new to me (including Reaper, so the answer may lie there) so I’m really not sure but the Reaper icon for the VSTi shows 32 as it did before I installed the update so I don’t know if that means it is still running in 32 bit or not.
The plugin interface reports if it’s running the 64-bit version. Check lower right corner.

Hi, I had the same symptons when I recently installed the Claustrophobic EZX … it took much, much longer then previous EZX installs (I am on W7 x64 and have both EZD and SD2 installed)
