EZX Electronic not correct version?

Trying to update my Electronic installation to 1.02. Getting this message:

“The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows service installer because the program updated may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and you have the correct upgrade patch.”

OK,

an educated guess would be that you have installed the EZX to one location and moved it manually post initial install, since you are a Superior 2 user and can link to it through the S2 settings instead of letting Superior 2 pick up the EZHOME path.
If this is the case, I can only recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the EZX before running the 1.0.2 updater.

in a nutshell, it makes it possible for the FX channel to bounce in Superior. Regarding the issue, it sounds to me like the installer was ever used, did you merely drag from disc or backup (on upgrading from another system or otherwise)?

I think I used the Downloaded installer from when I bought it. I must have updated though to be at v1.0.1 right?

I don’t have a VSSD box with Electronic in it. Can i get one sent to me and try that?

the full download is version 1.0.1 at this point (there was a serious fault with 1.0.0 so we’ve tried to minimize its distribution).

The question can be put in simpler terms though: is EZXElectronic listed among your installed products when you check the Programs & Features control panel? if not, whatever the reason for that end result, then the patch is correct and as far as it is concerned you do not have the correct product installed, regardless of the files being on the system and EZX operational.

… I would be surprised if it did appear in the list of installed programs for you, as we would be flooded with related support tickets by now.
