Hi there
How do I get Ezplayer free to work with my blues midi files and my Old DFH superior, I just don’t get it right with the drum mapping
are there any maps to get? the one I found on my installation discs got it almost right but the Hihats are not working
I don’t use edrums and I don’t have a keyboard, I just want to use superior with ezplayer that gives it the midigroove
Please help!

Hi,
both products are legacy products, discontinued for several years now but IIRC, you have to make sure you have matching mapping in both plugins, i.e. GM Extended or Superior mapping.
The Input MIDI must also be correctly added to EZplayer Free and the Input format set up.

Ok, but there are no superior drum maps in the installation discs except one thats named something with fred, the mapping inside ezplayer is set to superior 1 but it don’t work correctly with the fred drummap the hihat hits are missing.. are there a superior drum map to download somewhere? I believe it was on the website but is there no longer.
It’s getting a little frustrated that I have these drumplugins but don’t be able to get it to work
I set ezplayer as one vsti
I set superior as one vst
I set the fred mapping on the drummer plugins mapping
and I set superior 1 mapwrap inside ezplayer
what am I doing wrong?

after looking up your account it seems you are using the ‘Blues MIDI’ released by us last year? I do not see any Superior license in your account however…
the bottom line is that you do not need EZplayer at all, as long as Superior is at version 1.6 (or 2.x) and you use the ‘GM Extended’ mapping as opposed to the original ‘Superior mapping’.
That said, the transfer from GM Extended to S1 mapping, when using EZplayer free, should be completely fine, so I’m not sure what you are doing wrong, but you must be (I don’t understand your step 3 anyhow).
Anyway, like I said, there is really no need to ‘convert’ the Blues MIDI to be able to play it back correctly with Superior 1, and I would not recommend it.

I got both the superior 1 and C & V used, it’s on a different account.
If it’s possible I would like to move the other account to be in my account with this emailadress.
I tried to do this a couple of years back, but you guys said it was not possible.
Ok, so if I use the upgrades on your website than It would work with the blues midi with ezplayer?
Mr.Johansson
I got the 1.6 version now, still not working correctly, I must be doing something wrong with the mapping,,
In cubase what drum map would I put there? or should I set it on no drum map?
With Ezdrummer theres no problem using ezplayer to control ezdrummer. But the superior the mapping is wrong
Mr.Johansson
you should not use a drum map in Cubase. If you do it should in any case not transpose any note.
… other than that, in Superior 1, on the ‘pad configuration’ window, you should choose ‘GM Extended’. That’s all there is, and I really would be surprised if playback was not spot on, granted that I have not used this particular pack with Superior1, and have no possibility to do so at this stage.

AAAH!!! Thank you so very very much. I don’t know How the hell I missed it. Now it works perfect!
I’ve spend a couple of hours with this thing and it was so easy to fix.. I even missed it in the manual first but know I found it
Thank You for your time with this.. about the account part, is it possible to make that other account to be with my ezdrummer blues midi account?
Mr.Johansson
ok, it’s not working all the way
The hihats seems to be lost sometimes.. I guess I have to do a own map with one kit I like.
it sounds great when it works..
