EZplayer font

using EZplayer/EZdrummer in Toontrack Solo, iMac running X 10.4.11

I’m having issues with the font used by EZplayer to display the midi grooves: in most cases, spaces (as well as underscores) are shrunk to nothing, rendering the display very difficult to read; and more often than not, letters overlap even though there should be a space between them; as pictured in the snapshot below…

this doesn’t happen with EZdrummer when displaying the very same directories or files; in fact, it looks like EZplayer is using the wrong font (or the wrong size)

am I the only one or is there a way to correct this?

well, it’s been 84 days since I signalled this font problem: any solution yet?

the problem is noted, but currently it is unsure what is causing it. Have you tried to streamline your Fonts folder to se if tha makes a difference (most font issues are due to duplicates or corrupt suitcases on the system).

yes I did, but be aware that those fonts (I mean the capacity family and the rest) are stored as exclusive resources in EZplayer’s bundle, and as such, aren’t available outside the application proper… which, in a way, should ensure they don’t get corrupted;

however, I’ve tested them for validation with the FontBook application the way I would any of my other fonts: they do pass all ten basic tests, including horizontal metrics;

more advanced tests will trigger warnings and errors, like for instance the lack of a unique ID, omission that might well be a source of confusion for the display manager;

meanwhile, I also cleaned the system font caches, checked for duplicates, and did my best to ensure there won’t be any snag preventing the proper use of EZplayer’s fonts, except perhaps the way they are smoothed for displaying, which is beyond me…
