I have looked long and hard through every search engine to find what I thought would be simple answer. I was a bit impulsive and purchased EZPlayer (I own EZDrummer, as well) so that I could remap my grooves to use in Reason Drum Kits 2.0. I have stopped using Reaper and fell out of date with Sonar. What have been doing is dragging my midi grooves into Reason and manually moving the notes to the appropriate key mappings, but that takes hours with complex tracks. Although i do prefer your samples, I can still make the Reason samples sound pretty good. When I read that the map wrap function would re-map to match the RDK mappings, I pulled out my credit card and hit “Add to cart”. Well…here’s the issue. I drag a groove into the ezplayer track, choose Reason in the map wrap drop down and it changes the mapping…cool. What I didn’t realize is that the mapping is only preserved within the player and not the groove in the track. When I drag the re-mapped file into Reason, it still has original mappings. I tried everything, such as recording to another track after choosing Reason in the drop down, but no go. I’ve read your manual, watched your tutorials vids, self medicated and browsed every forum on the planet, but found nothing to address this. I did see, however, the SD does allow you to remap, but I’m not going to spring for the crossgrade if the mappings aren’t saved in the midi file. Am I missing something obvious with the export? I know that I can’t use ezplayer as an external midi device, even though Reason now supports it. Did I misunderstand or am I just a daft bugger?
