Hello,
i just got a new PC and can´t get EZMix started. I worked with win xp for some time and never had any problems. I installed all my other toontrack products, ezdrummer with dfh and the superiour crossgrade without any problems.
just EZMix won´t be running.
i use
win7 Proffesional
Cubase LE5
tested the 64 and 32bit variants and checked if the ezmix.dll are in the folders:
C:Program Files (x86)SteinbergVstPlugIns (wich seems to be standard)
and
D:AudiosteinbergVSTPlugins (wich is my specific folder)
so please can anybody tell me whats wrong.
thanks

Is EZmix listed in your under ‘Programs and Features’ in Windows Control Panel? Have you done a Windows search for ‘EZmix.dll’ to see if it was installed to some other folder? Are you installing the latest version from your Toontrack account?

to all: yes.
i deinstalled and reinstalled it several times, 32 and 64bit but it´s not listed both in cubase and reaper.

You said ‘to all: yes’
So, where was the EZmix.dll installed to?
Have you set the path in Reaper and Cubase to where that EZmix.dll is installed to?

Yes, the path is set. i manually copied the dll to the cubase vst directory but something is wrong.
any other installation is ok, even EZMix under Vista?!

I would recommend against copying the .dll anywhere as it will break any future updates. Have you tried using the Custom install option and selecting your cubase vst directory in the first place?
Question: Is Cubase LE5 a 32-bit or 64-bit DAW?

i´ve tried to install it like you said, but the computer chrashed and from now on i can´t install the 32bit version. i always get the messag:
the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package”EZmix.msi” in the box below.
there is NO unavailable network resource and the EZmix.msi is part of the EZmix 32 bit Installer.exe which path i choose in the box?
the 64bit version can be installed but is not recognized in the DAW. what can i do? is this a known problen with win7 and Cubase LE5 (which i mean is an 32bit DAW)

i think my fault was to install the 64bit version first. i thought i can install both in different directories and decide wich one i use.
i´ve deinstalled both versions and after reinstallation of the 32bit version it functions proberly.
thanks for your support!
