ezmix 2 not showing up in presets…MAC, PT8

i just reinstalled ezmix 2, and still, the plug in will not show up in my Pro Tools 8 plug in folder. I found the plug in file elsewhere after the install, and manually moved it to the my library/digidesign/plug in folder where all the others are, but still, nothing. HELP!

Hi,

first of all NEVER move stuff post install. It will break functionality and updaters will fail.
No doubt you found the standalone application and moved it to the plugin folder.

Do you list your plugins after manufacturer or category? If you set it to Manufacturer, does it show up under ‘Toontrack’?
Have you trashed your DAE Prefs/Installed plugins?

no, i moved the plug in file to my plug ins folder, i left the stand alone application where it was.

Pro tools is set to look in that directory for all plug ins, and post install, restart, and loading pro tools witih still no ezmix2 plug in showing up on my inserts, i noticed that the ezmix 2.dpm file did not appear there where all of my other plug ins where. i moved it to that directory, but still no luck. So, i reinstalled again, still no luck. I can load the standalone program, but not the plug in as an insert.

i also have it set to type, and not manufacturer. I have not trashed that, im not sure where that is.

You say that the ‘Ezmix.dpm’ did not get installed to ‘Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins’?
This would be the first time I ever heard of that, are you absolutely sure?

EZmix would show up as ‘Effect’ among the Inserts. Please try to sort after manufacturer to see if you find it.

The DAE Prefs with the ‘installed plug-ins’ list would be located at:
‘User/Library/Preferences’
