Yesterday I was playing my guitar through EZMix 2 standalone with Guitar Pro 5 as my backing track simultaneously. It worked just like it has always, no problems.
Then a few hours later I tried again but this time if I start EZMix first and then GP5 I have no midi, I’ll get an error that says ‘Unable to open MIDI port (Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth)… I even tried with an external MIDI driver.
If I start GP5 first and then EZMix, I have no sound with effects on my guitar. I’ll get and error that says ‘Failed to open audio output device. Please check…’ Audio device is set to ASIO and Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver. Direct sound works but nothing through EZMix
Using Focusrite Scarlett as input and output for Windows.
There was no updates nor installations between this working and not working so no help there.
Any ideas?

Hi,
have you rebooted your computer?
Does the Focusrite interface have it’s own control panel or similar? Can you manually select it to be Multi-client or not?

Hi John,
There is a control panel that has options for MME, Windows Direct Sound and ASIO. Yes I have rebooted. But the solution was that I had Scarlett in USB 3.0 port and when I changed it to a 2.0 port the problem was gone… who knew…
Thanks anyway.
