For that track, do you have ‘Record Armed’ set (red button goes bright red)

Then, do you have Record monitoring set to on?

Yes, the record is armed, and I have the record monitoring set to on.

I now got it to work, but my clean guitar signal is blending with the effects, so it doesn’t sound to good while playing. It’s the same problem when I use the standalone EZmix.

    Hi,

what kind of audio interface are you using? It sounds as if it has some kind of dedicated setup/mixer where you can audition the direct signal.

when you go to ‘options’ then ‘preference’ in Reaper, click on ‘Device’ in the left menu. On that page click on ‘ASIO Configuration’ to open your interface ( if you have one?)

You will probably have the fader (volume) for that input that you are using turned up, turn it right down to 0. If it is turned up, you are hearing the clean signal, as well as the VST sound. Turning the volume down will allow you to not hear the clean signal.

I’ve just checked it, but there’s no ASIO Configuration. It may be because of the class compliant audio interface. I’m considering buying a “real” audio interface today, and see if that will help.

    Thanks for your help.

Hey, I’m having the same problem! I have a Focusrite 6i6 interface. When I use EZMix2 as a stand alone I am able to listen to the effects, however when I use if with reaper, I don’t get to hear anything. There’s not signal at all. Any comments to solve this? thank you!

    Hi Jonathan,

it depends on how you are setting things up with Reaper. If you leave out EZMix 2 of the equation, can you get a Thru signal while playing?
If you can, it should only be a matter of inserting the EZMix 2 plugin on the same track you are listening thru.
