I used to be able to “Follow Host” and EZKeys2 Plugin grooves would play in sync with the tracks in my DAW, StudioOne.
Now when I hit play (spacebar) ,when my daw has focus, the DAW tracks play but not the groove I’m trying to audition in ezk2, and when ezk2 has focus , hit (spacebar) the groove I’m auditioning plays, but not the tracks in the daw. I can click on”follow host” off and on and sometimes everything behaves normally until I make an edit anywhere and everything goes haywire again.
Same thing happens in Reaper.
I am running my DAW as administrator, since thats the only way to keep my drag and drop functionality, as advised by Toontrack Help
I suspect some sort of key conflict or something, my keyboard is functioning just fine.
I converted all other midi tracks to audio and disabled those tracks, to see if any midi conflicts, no effect.
Are you playing EZ Keys MIDI in both your DAW and in EZ Keys at the same time?
jord
no, ezk track on daw is empty, so ezkeys midi is playing only from the plugins tracks. no double duty
other tracks (like EZ Basss, EZ Drums3) have been converted to audio
To make sure I restarted my DAW and tried again and “follow host” was functioning normally…
| UNTIL I made any kind of edit in EZkeys, then it stopped syncing again. I had to leave working in EZKeys to click anywhere in the DAW and hit play before going back to edit in EZKeys. Repeat. Repeat .Makes working in the grid editor a real pain
So, my guess at whats happening is that making any edit in EZkeys makes it lose its “follow host” functionality.
Its been working great until recently Everything is up to date.
