(the following issue happens when I am working with the stand-alone copy of the EZKeys, outside of my DAW environment)
When I locate a clip and then bring it down into the editor, then make adjustments to chords that I want to use, I can drag that phrase back into my “Favorites” list, rename it, Save it, and play it back fine. In the editor, if I transpose that phrase into a new key, then drag it up into the favorites list and save it — when I play it back and it’s still in the same original key.
When I first started working in EZKeys, I WAS able to save the transposed key. Suddenly that feature has stopped working. Any ideas why, or whether I might have some setting wrong?
using both CW Sonar and Studio One 4 DAW; Win 10 OS; commercial audio loops as well as MIDI, EZDrummer and EZKeys; Presonus Studio 2/6 I/F; Nectar2 Production Ste; iZotope Ozone for mastering.
Have you enabled to play in Original Key, in the menu? If this isn’t enabled, all MIDI will follow the current song key that’s set in the project.

Thanked by: JohnI’ll check those menu settings after work – I may have thought that setting worked the opposite way than you said. That would certainly explain the issue, as that’s the exact situation I’m hearing. Many thanks for your prompt reply! I’ll update my post when I am able to check and test this setting later today. ~ John

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomHenrik, it looks like you nailed it, I found the setting in Menu / Browser / Use Original Key Signature. Checking that Enabled, allowed me to save the transposed phrase into my Favorites folders. Again, many thanks for the tip!
