You can’t drag midi from a track into EZbass, have to save it as a midi file first.
I don’t like that so much. I can record it in which is a little better.
It’s supposed to be able to drag midi from EZkeys to EZbass, and it appears to be working.
As far as if you drag a part from a track you get a circle with line through it, but if you drag a part from EZkeys then the cursor changes over EZbass to a page icon with a Plus on it.
So that would be really good except when I drop it there it says Toontrack has crashed and then a second later Studio One disappears.(crashes)
Any ideas?
Thanks

I have been able to drag from EZKeys to EZBass in Studio One, by opening EZBass and pinning it so that it stays open, you can do the same with EZKeys, but it’s not necessary. Slightly overlap EZKeys and EZBass and you should be able to drag the track from EZKeys to EZBass.

Thomas beat me to it 🙂
Many thanks Brad, I’m sure many people will find yours and Thomas’ replies very helpful 👍

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomHell, what if I don’t want to purchase EZKeys!
Why can’t I just use what I have?

The thread is about people who have ezkeys and saves time pasting the chord pattern from there.
But you could copy a chord pattern from a midi track or type in the chords in ezbass, no problem.
Sometimes you find the information……
I’ve heard things like “pinning’ the applications open (EZKEYS and EZBASS)–I’ve heard hit the “target button” so they both stay open in your DAW–
What??
FINALLY–somebody tells you to OPEN THE STANDALONE PROGRAMS and transfer MIDI from there to your DAW (or even to the programs open in your DAW)!!!!
THANK YOU, HARDIDR (or whatever you label is)!!!!!

Yep I actually posted a screen print of how you “pin” a plug-in, within Studio One, so you drag and drop to another plug-in.
Just like below, but whatever works for you, I just prefer to drag and drop with the DAW.

Not being able to drag MIDI from ANY source directly into EZbass is BS!!! The ads show MIDI being dragged from an instrument other than EZkeys and it works in the ads. I cannot drag ANY MIDI from ANY source into EZbass. I’m NOT interested in work arounds. I want the program to work as advertised. You can’t build a train on one set of tracks and then find out it doesn’t work because it’s not compatible with a different set of tracks and then sell to folks as working!!!
Please fix this!!!
Aside from reviving a zombie thread, there is nothing to fix on ToonTrack’s side. It is your DAW that is closing the clipboard when switching plugins. Pinning the plug-ins is not a workaround.
if you are referring to dragging from your DAW, that is a different story. A bunch of them do not support dragging, and dropping onto plug-ins. Again, not a Toontrack issue. And if you’re using something like Studio One. You could probably set up something like a macro to take care of your export, needs

I see it as a Toontrack problem. Toontrack ads show the option to drag and drop MIDI. The ads don’t say it only works on certain DAWS. I’m not aware of a compatibility list stating that EZbass only works with certain DAWS.
Has nothing to do with ToonTrack, considering that you can drag a MIDI file from your desktop as well as other plug-ins like Scaler. It is strictly a DAW behaviour, regardless of how you see it.
