The reason for this could be that you have other plug-ins in the project that have a lot of latency..?

Hi Olof thanks for writing.  Unfortunately even in audio only projects it happens also.

So no difference if you go to Preferences > Audio > General and set Compensation to Off?

Sorry for the late response!  No difference Olof.  Even in standalone it happens….How can I send you a video of it to see?

    Thanks again!!!

Oh, in standalone too? Then it could be that the GUI is lagging a bit and it would help to change color profile to sRGB? See https://www.admiralbumblebee.com/general/2018/10/09/Retina-Issues-One-Quick-Fix.html

If that doesn’t help, what are the latency values in audio settings in the standalone?

Sorry it wasn’t in the standalone I was mistaken in only is happening in my daw (logicx).  I tried the color profile thing but no change.  Any other ideas?  Thank you!

Any difference if the Logic track with EZkeys is selected or not? Or if you record arm it? Try setting input device to None in Logic settings.

Neither have any effect.  Still happens

Sorry, I’m out of ideas. I’ll send you a link where you can upload a video of it, if you like.

Thanks for the video. I’m seeing the opposite of what you described: “visually the playback in Ezkeys is always a few beats delayed.” Instead, the sound is coming out with a delay. The visual playback starts at once when you click play and the sound continues a while after you’ve clicked stop.

Are you using the same output device in Logic as in the standalone?

Any bus sends in use? Try creating a new empty project, add a software track with EZkeys, deactivate all bus sends and deactivate all effects in all channels/buses, so that the EZkeys audio goes directly to the output.

There you go! That worked.  Turning off all my bus sends (though on a different track then ezkeys) worked. Thank you for all your help Olof that was driving me crazy 🙂  !!

Sorry Olof it is happening again.  New project also.  No sends.  Same thing.  Also, another video to see for you as it happens in other ways besides the last video.  Send over the link and I will share.  Thanks!

So it’s very out of sync with the host now. Maybe it’s because of some things I suggested for you to try earlier, for example maybe latency compensation is set to off in preferences?
