I’m not recording at the moment, so don’t want to use a full daw, I just want to practice an play some music to get sharp again before I record.
I’ve bought EZ Keys with some expansion packs, and use my m-audio oxygen 88 piano plugged into my macbook pro via usb.
I laugh ezkeys, which loads and authorises just fine, I play some notes on the actual application keyboard and it sounds fine out of my macbook speakers, however when I use the m-audio oxygen 88 keyboard to input the keys, nothing happens, the screen doesn’t change to show the keys pressed and there is no sound.
I understand that I’m not using my daw at the moment, but I was under the impression ezkeys could be used as a standalone application, and I would be able to just use it to process my oxygen 88 keyboards input to sound like a piano.
If this is possible, how do I setup ezkeys to take input from the oxygen 88 ?
Thanks,
Hi,
you need to go into the Settings Menu in EZkeys and the ‘Audio/MIDI Setup…’. Then go to ‘MIDI Device’ and put a check mark in the box right next to your Oxygen 88 MIDI device. Apply + OK.
