    Hi,

I would re-install with the Product Manager, then open the Plug-In Manager in Logic, select the EZkeys plugin and ‘Reset & Rescan’.

    John

I am getting the same failed validation notice when trying to use EZKeys 1.3.0 in Logic Pro X 10.2.4 through 10.4.8. The only way I am currently able to use it in LPX is to instantiate MiniHost Modular and then open EZKeys inside of that. It works.

The strange thing is that EZKeys VST and AU plugins work properly in Waveform Free and Reaper.

    Hi Mark,

Until they resolve this issue, there is a simple way to see and use EZKeys in LPX. You and I have the same version and OS so I can pretty much guarantee you that this will work.

Download and install either Element or Minihost Modular. They are both free plugin hosts that will work as a standalone app or a plugin and are very simple to install and use.

Once you install Element (or MM) you will find it in your Applications folder and also in your Library > Audio > Plugins folder. Launch LPX and check your Plugins Manager to make sure that Element is seen and validated. Then, insert it on an instrument track as an AU Instrument (look for Kushview.) Once the Element window opens, right-click in the node workspace and select EZKeys. Finally, in Element connect the MIDI input node to EZKeys and then to your Audio output node.

    Hi Ronald,

It works! I have sound however it doesn’t record on the armed track when playing the song from Toontrack. What should I do?

    Many thanks

Make sure that you have “Enable MIDI Out” ticked in the EZKeys Menu.

Well, I can’t really advise you any further without more information.

A more detailed step-by-step description of what you’re trying to do would be helpful. Maybe even a screenshot.

    Hi Ronald,

Here’s a screen shot. What I was trying to do was record on to a Logic track the music from the song track in EZKeys rather drawing and dropping like I’ve done in the past. Will this work?

    Cheers

Actually, I was hoping to see the EZKeys window, not Element, but if I’m understanding correctly, you have built a song inside EZKeys and want to record it into LPX instead of dragging & dropping it into your track? Yes, you can do that. With your track record-armed in LPX, simply hit Record , then press the Play button in EZKeys.

If that doesn’t work for you, then I still need a step-by-step description of what you are doing.

    Hi Ronald,

Here is another picture if that helps. Yes your understanding what I’m trying to achieve, when I press record in LPX and play in EZKeys in docent record on the track thats armed, I get sound but no recording. I tried to upload another picture but for some reason it won’t, what picture would be helpful to you?

    Cheers

Just curious…are you able to do with EZDrummer what you are trying to do with EZKeys? It’s the exact same process except that you don’t need Element with EZDrummer.

    Hi Ronald,

I tried it today with EZ Drummer and it works perfectly, However if I try to record EZKeys EZDrummer plays the keyboard on the piano! and drum midi is written onto the EZkeyes track, very odd. I even selected different midi channels but makes no difference.
