I have a small part in the song panel which is C (3 beats) Csus4(1 beat) Am (3 beats) Am7 (1 beat) in 4/4/ time. Yet When I select all the blocks and click on merge selected blocks the Csus4 note disappears and am just left with C (4 beats) and the rest is as it should be?
No, the chords should stay – if I understand you correctly.
* Does the MIDI sound the same after you merge? I wonder if it’s just a visual chord change that happens…
* Are you using the latest version of EZkeys? Go to Menu/Check for Updates…
If not the latest: use the Product Manager to get the newest version (or get it from the Toontrack web page)
If you are using the latest version: save an EZkeys project file: Menu/Save Project… and post that file here so we can have a look at it.

Yes I’m using latest version as I installed some SD3 updates yesterday.
Okay I’ve tried it again and it’s working now for some reason I will keep an eye on as I need to find original project.
Also for some reason when I save a project in Studio One I can’t read it in standalone mode but that’s another issue but attached. Have changed file extension from ezkp to txt as otherwise I get an attachment error.

Hi Nick,
We have a new version of EZKeys on Beta right now where we have fixed the issue of the Standalone not being able to open Projects saved in a Daw, so keep a look out for the next Release coming in the near future.
Could not reproduce the chord merge bug, please get back to us if you can reproduce it.
Thanks for reporting in!

Thanks for the update on the DAW saving issue will keep my eyes open for next release.
Will in meantime find the project that I had the issue on unfortuantely I wouldn’t have saved it once I encountered the issue so will need to check my scoring notes to see where I used that combination of keys.
Thanks again for quick response.12
Took me a little while to find the merge issue but it seems it only occurs inside a DAW (Studio One)
Have attached 2 screen clips one before and one after.
Can you check that you are running the same version of EZkeys in the standalone as in Studio One? These kind of differences can be caused by having an old version in the DAW.

DAW
EZkeys plug-in version 1.2.4 (build 13303) [64-bit VST]
Core MIDI Library version 1.2.0

Standalone host version 1.2.4 (build 13303)
Core MIDI Library version 1.2.0
We will have a look at it in Studio One to see if that occurs for us too!

An another strange occurrence which has happened after merging issue.
I installed another ezkeys expansion and after install it asked for 2 updates to be applies see attachment but when applied (despite the fact that it was previously applied and at correct version) now all EZkeys expansions show an update is required the same one I had just installed which wasn’t the case before I started install.

Have added previous images from DAW as I might have not uploaded them.

The Product Manager says that you have updated your AU and VST plugins, but not the AAX plugin (used in Pro Tools). When you install a virtual instrument, you install 3 different files – AU (for Mac), VST (used by Cubase, Studio One etc), and AAX (Pro Tools). The same goes when you run an update, you select which plugin files you want to update. If you don’t use Pro Tools it doesn’t matter if the AAX file is out of date.
Regarding the chord issue – I get the same result as you do. I will try to see what happens, but it’s easy for you to re-add the C sus4 chord. Select the Chord Tool (left of the song track), and click where it should be and the chord will be placed there again. The Chord Tool is used to add, and remove, chords. An advanced feature it has is that you can correct chords, that are not correctly set by the software.

Thanks for the update and workaround, although now I’ve found it only occurs inside DAW I can do the merge in the standalone and hopefully it will be okay once I open in DAW and I can save to another file as I won’t be able to read the updated file in the standalone until fix released.
