ezkeys – key commands…

i´ve noticed 1 key command in ezkeys so far and it only works in standalone!
it´s the spacebar that works as start/ stop!
it would be very nice with more working key commands, as it would speed everything up!
for example zoom in/ zoom out, scissors and most of the other functions available!

if you want to take this one step further, it would also be nice to have key command presets for different daws!
one preset for cubase, another preset for sonar and so on!?
for example zooming in/ out in cubase is key command “g” and “h”, so the cubase preset in ezkeys for zooming in/ out, could be the same…!?

i do see the problem of this though, since this would be great in standalone, but working in a daw, the key command would affect both the daw and ezkeys (just as it is with the spacebar)…!?
is there some way to get around this problem?
if not, i guess the idea about presets for daws is no good, but the suggestion for key commands still stands, since you could just choose key commands for ezkeys, that are not used by your daw…!?

most DAWs simply do not allow plug-ins to capture keystrokes, many times even when the windows is in focus. Sometimes they even forbid certain keys to be typed in in text fields within the plug-in (though this is rare). So that is the extend of the problem, with no solution in sight.

… but yes, standalone is another matter – however our stance is that formulating a workflow in standalone that would not be relevant when working elsewhere would be more frustrating than not having it, for the majority of users that is (if you work solely in stand alone then of course I can understand that this would not be a concern).
