I am working with the sequencer in stand alone mode, just to come up with some chord changes I like.
I find a clip I like and sounds bright and punchy when I play from in the library, I can tweek the tone, bite and drive knobs for perfect sounds
but when I drag it into the sequencer and the playback is muddy, Tone controls help but its really not acceptable.
Why is this happening ? Thanks
Hi,
I think you must be more specific in exactly which preset you are using, which MIDI files you are using, etc. I cannot reproduce just by following what you have shared above.
BTW, with sequencer you mean the Song Track in EZkeys, right?

Common issue with computer generated music. The dynamic range is quite less than ‘live’ sound, and adding sounds by merging in to a mix can create a lot of muddiness. Usually why so many mixing experts use some kind of distortion added to digital sound sources,to make them standout a little more in the sound pool. Try to separate frequencies and stereo panning can help out too …
