I have recently upgraded from Cubase 7.5 to 8. I previously had no problems with EZKeys as a vst in C7.5 but now I get crashes in C8. The message comes up that I need to “save and exit” and that “the problem is with EZKeys”.
Anyone else seeing this issue?

Hi,
is the standalone working as expected?
Did you run both 32-bit and 64-bit updaters?
Is Cubase 8 picking up the right flavor in its VST scan path? I.e. is it loading the 64-bit version or the 32-bit version?

Hi John, thanks for the reply.
For Cubase 8 I only have the 64bit version. The path indicated by the Plug-in Manager in Cubase is correct in that it points to the EZKeys 64 bit .dll. When I went from C7.5 to C8 I did not change any of my plugins or their locations and the others seem fine. (So far!).
I don’t normally use the standalone version, but I have just checked it and it works fine.

No, as far as I could see I just get the error message.
I have just installed the Cubase 8.05 update, so, although the update info does not mention any vst crashing, I’ll see if that makes any difference.

Just to follow up on this : since I updated Cubase to 8.0.5 EZKeys seems to work fine. I would assume that it was a problem with the first release of Cubase 8.
