does logic have a “plugin scan” that needs to be run?

    Hi Glenn,

I have deleted /Library/Caches, which forces a re-scan of all plugins when Logic is opened.

I’m not sure if this is crucial, but the original (2.0.1) EZkeys 2 component file was set to directory ‘barry’ (which is my Home directory, with Read-Write permissions).

After upgrading to EZkeys 2 (2.0.5) the new EZkeys 2 component file is now set to ‘root’ (/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components).

    Regards

    Barry

i’d move that to your ‘barry’ directory then as the root might not be in the scanning path

I’m wondering why Logic was looking for EZ Keys in your home folder in the first place. The system area (root) is where it should be installed.

Hi Jord, I have ran the command: ls -al /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components (from Terminal)

Saved and opened the resultant text file and all Toontrack plugins are set to ‘barry’, in fact all my plugin components (Waves, Kontakt etc. are set to ‘barry’)

My original EZkeys 2 (2.0.1) was also set to ‘barry’ (Home folder) and has been working fine for a long time, only after upgrading to EZkeys 2 (2.0.5) as prompted within Toontrak Product Manager is the new component file now set to ‘root’.

I am not sure if this is the problem, it is something that i have noticed.

    Many thanks for your input.

    Barry.

Hi Glen, I thought about that (moving the new EZkeys 2.component file from ‘root’ to ‘barry’ but unfortunately i don’t know how to do that.

Seems a logical thing to do though

    Regards

    Barry
