Could it just be as simple as no one is asking for it? Then let me be the first.
Tell us all please, that a EZKeys2 is on the drawing board and set for release in xxx/2016.
You know what I am asking for. Like you did with EZDrummer – EZDrummer2. Well, it doesn’t have to be that spectacular! But some thing to show commitment and maturity for this lovely program.
At a minimum can we at lease talk about it? This forum is soooo slow. Perhaps this could be a new level of life and pay off in dividends to the company bottom line.
Maybe if I say – Please and Thank you.

Well, the guys at Toontrack aren’t stupid… are they? If we can clearly see the potential of an EZKeys brought up to SD3, EZBass GUI and functionality, I’m sure they can. I’d upgrade as soon as it was available and I’m sure many others would too along with enticing a whole new bunch of users.
Quite frankly, they really would be stupid to ignore it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed anyway that it just may be their next big project.
I recently got EZKeys, and while it’s pretty cool and easy enough to come up with stuff and whatnot, while it may have been an 80% or so awesome plugin, when you compare it to the new EZBass it’s not even close. When EZKeys 2 does get released, it’s gonna be freaking KILLER. I sure hope it’s soon. Because as an EZDrummer & EZBass user, EZKeys now lacks in comparison. Same with EZDrummer now that we know what Toontrack is capable of. Adding the functionality of what EZBass can do to the other “brothers,” wow, gonna be great. Oh, and EZGuitar, EZHarmonica, EZTuba, LOL. Stay safe all!

In the near future, I’d be happy with a minor update. Add what I imagine would be easy, like a bar-zero option.
SD3 v3.3.6, EZbass v1.1.7, EZkeys v1.3.4
Studio One v5.5.2, Cubase v12.0.60
3.6GHz Intel i9 iMac, 64GB RAM, OS 12.6.1
Man I just bought EZ Keys after seeing and buying EZ Bass – It’s like they are made by different companies. Then to see this four year old thread. Yikes.
I also just bought EZKeys after seeing and buying EZBass – I love what EZKeys can do for my music creation, but I agree with you all – it looks very old.
My suggestion to Toontrack is to at least indicate if they are likely to work on an upgrade (like I saw they did with EZBass before release) – I don’t see any risk, unless the silence actually mean they really have abandon EZKeys V.2 with like EZBass GUI and functionality.
From my view the music creation is actually the most difficult to get done, for newbies, so there is definitely a marked for a strong EZKeys. Even with the new Scaler 2, EZKeys has added benefits not available with same ease and flexibility in Scaler 2. Captain Chords is another option (I have that also) but NO not anything like EZKeys.
Toontrack: let’s now get some feedback – looks like your fan-base have been asking for VERY long time and you have a marked especially if you keep your fan-base to be advocates also.
Cheers

I would be thrilled to see EZkeys have the same “shell GUI” as SD3, and EZBass. Something similar to the Tap To Find, and most definitely, a grid editor with the ability to humanize some of the midi files to get rid of the “stiffness”. Lastly, so many of the “songs” start with whole notes for the first level, and in the next level up, it’s already WAY too busy arpeggiating, instead of having some chord comps that fit into a groove better. Having said that, let me also say the I am one of your biggest purchasers, and LOVER of all of these products. My clients are stunned when I show them where my piano and drums (and now bass) all come from. REALLY looking forward to this update.
To spin off what RM said, a needed key feature is the adding/subtracting notes/hits from it’s big brother instruments. SD3 does it much more intelligently so I hope that would be the model. Because I agree, the grooves go from basic to complicated too abruptly. Separate from editing in the grid, we need an intelligent, automated way to add/subtract complexity to/from the grooves.

Thanked by: Raynaldo MartineWow, same wavelength! I was trying to remember that feature when writing that post, but it was 2am and I was BEAT. Thanks BezO!
+1 on EZKeys 2!!! with the release of EZBass it would be awesome to incorporate Grid Editor, update the Song Track and ad some ability to manipulate the MIDI (channels, CC’s, etc.)
Toontrack nailed it with Superior Drummer 3, EZBass & with an updated EZKeys2 …WOW!!!
In the new Midi-pack Latin Pop, the first audio demo is played by Studio Grand 2!
Could that mean something???

Thanked by: mikmockYES PLEASE to a midi editor, piano roll, grid editor….what ever it takes to be able to edit an each note/chord!
Add me to the list of folks that would love to see an EZKeys upgrade to the same GUI and midi editor that SD3 and EZBass have. I would buy it immediately.
So come on Toontrack you can do it!!
