Hi everybody.
So i recently bought Ez Drummer 2 and tried using it in my DAW (FL Studio 20 [64 Bit]). But whenever i create a song trough the inbuild beats in the song browser, the plugin (sometimes) misses notes.
This happens mostly when i export but also sometimes in live playback.
This are my steps to reproduce it:
1.Create a new project.
2.Add ezdrummer
3.Use any of the inbuild grooves/drums 4. play it back/export the track.
My specs:
i3-8350k – 16 GB DDR4 Ram – Focusrite Scarlett Solo
Windows 10-FL Studio 20 (64bit) – EzDrummer2 (2.1.8)
Hi,
Where do you build the song? On the song track inside EZD2 or on the track in the DAW?
If you have it on the song track in EZD2, how do you play it – by pressing play in EZD2 or in the DAW and using Follow Host?
Please check if the frequency of this happening changes if you use different buffer sizes.

Thanked by: jakobsachsI have ‘Smart Disable’ un-checked in the Audio Settings, it has caused problems for me with EZdrummer 2 when I have run FL Studio.

@John
Yeah, I changed that but it didn’t have any impact.
Maybe just as extra info if it helps: This occurs mostly when I export the audio. In actual playback, it only happens rarely.
I guess you export using FL Studio? Have you tried in EZD2, track menu > Track > Export Song as WAVE File?

No, I didn’t know this feature till yet.
I tried it and it functions flawlessly.
So I guess I now have a workaround for the issue, although it’s still bothering me that i cant export it directly in my DAW.
But its certainly a way I can work with the plugin.
Thanks a lot!
Good. Another way that may work is to drag everything from the song track to the DAW track, disable Follow Host (so you don’t get double hits) and export in the DAW. Please let me know if you try that and how it goes.
I suspect the issue could be that FL Studio has too large time gaps between buffers sometimes so that EZD2 thinks it should skip forward a tiny bit and can then skip notes.

OKay wow.
I did not know this was possible at all. This is even better than having my beats inside of EZD2. Now I can edit single hits.
Thanks a lot!
after dragging to midi player select file and quantise.. to say 1/32.. problem gone
as well as quantising check “follow host” change tempo then uncheck, only use follow host to change tempo then turn off,, as well as quantise file should always sort problem and play from ez not fl play button to be sure
think simple it usually works
cheers
